In collaboration with global and local partners in China, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT has been providing innovative environmental solutions for the past 30 years through strong, long-term partnerships.
Our main subsidiaries in China are SITA, which manages waste; and Degrémont, which offers technologies, design and construction expertise for water and wastewater treatment plants.
In China, our goal is to support the government's ambitious environmental goals that are helping to realise a harmonious society.
For SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, the concept of a harmonious society is embedded in our every day business. It means delivering clean water to residents of Changshu; protecting the Yangtze tribute in Chongqing; reducing pollution risks from hazardous waste in Shanghai; producing a renewable energy source from our landfill facility in Hong Kong.
We do all this in partnerships. That is because every community has a different need, and we believe that our partners are uniquely positioned to help us identify and meet those needs. Around the world, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT has been a pioneer in Public Private Partnerships (PPP). In China, we transfer our world-class technology with adaptation to local conditions thanks to our local partnerships.
