SUEZ Cooperate with Everbright International to Develop the Largest Hazardous Waste Treatment Project in Changzhou

20 Oct. 2016, Changzhou Binjiang Development Zone Hazardous Waste Treatment Project (“Changzhou Waste Project”) jointly developed by SUEZ and Everbright International[1] was inaugurated on site.

Changzhou Waste Project, with the total investment of 329 million RMB, is invested and built by SUEZ and Everbright International by the shares of 50% to 50%. As the biggest of its kind in Changzhou, the project has a designed capacity of 30,000 tons/year for the treatment of various hazardous waste. The state-of-the-art incinerator will strictly meet both Chinese and European emission standards and be managed according to the highest international safety and environmental standards as well. Moreover, the energy from the waste incineration will be captured and used to produce steam as a green source of energy for other facilities and companies within the development zone, thus reducing the use of fossil fuels.
